Jewel (Hinson) Britt

Jewel Hinson Britt, age 79, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late James Robert Hinson and Maggie Omelia Pearsall Hinson and wife of the late J. Ruffin Britt.

A service to celebrate Jewel’s life will be held graveside at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 15th at Wayne Memorial Park with Dr. Rev. Patricia Hinson Harris officiating.  The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the graveside.

Jewel is survived by her son, J. Britt; a sister, Lois Grimes; and two grandchildren, Hillary (Timothy) Britt Brinson and Jordan Britt.
