Jesse Earl Jernigan

Jesse Earl Jernigan, age 59, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, September 9th. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late David Earl Jernigan and Mary Magdelene Sykes Jernigan. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Ann Jernigan and brother, James “Jim” Jernigan. Jesse retired from the NC Department of Corrections and was very active in the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a 1983 graduate of Goldsboro High School and loved his time serving his classmates as a leader in the class reunions and other gatherings.

A service to celebrate Jesse's life will be held on November 3rd at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Cathy Jernigan.
