Jerry Lynn (Howard) Kornegay

Jerry Lynn Howard Kornegay, 64, of Dudley passed away on Thursday at Wayne U.N.C. She is the daughter of the late Ralph and Marie Howard and wife of Gene Kornegay. Jerry had attended Mt. Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed going on trips to the beach, cooking a good country dinner, and her dogs, Chico and Annie.

In addition to her husband, Gene, Jerry is survived by her sons, Benjamin Lewis and wife, Tracy of Grantham and Currie Ross Kornegay; brothers, Tim Howard of Grantham, Bobby Howard of Mt. Olive, Steve Howard and wife, Linda, and Danny Howard and wife, Linda of Little Washington; a sister, Carolyn Barfield and husband, Timothy of Snow Hill; and grandchildren, Kelsy Lewis and Skylar Lewis.

In addition to her parents, Jerry is preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Howard; a sister, Ann Brock; and her dog, Bubba.
