Jeremy W. Carlton

Jeremy Wayne Carlton, age 31 of  987 McArthur Pond Road, Mt. Olive, died Thursday.  Born in Alamance County, he was the son of Jerry Wayne Carlton and Melinda Cotton Carlton.  He was a member of Eureka Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Purvis officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at the Cotton Family Cemetery.

Along with his parents, Jeremy is survived by his son, Nathan Wayne Carlton of Goldsboro; his maternal grandparents, Nannie Cotton (Roy) Mills; paternal grandmother, Delois White; his brother, Steven A. Carlton and his sister, Rachel Lynn Carlton.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Elizabeth Carlton and his maternal grandfather, Deloit Cotton.
