Janice Faye (Pilkington) Lane

 Janice Faye Pilkington Lane, age 78, formerly of the Grantham community passed away Monday, October 20, 2025 at Willow Creek Rehabilitation Center in Goldsboro with her adoring family at her side.  She was born in Johnston County, to the late Daniel Pilkington and Margaret Moore Pilkington.  She was a member of Manley Grove P.H. Church.

A service to celebrate Faye’s life will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, October 24, 2025, by the graveside at Pineview Cemetery 4224 NC-111 Seven Springs, NC 28578, Rev. Dave Fishman officiating.  The family will greet friends and family, following the graveside service.  Other times the family will be at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Kim and Michael Gurkin 2888 Grabtown Road Smithfield, NC 27577.

Ms. Lane is survived by a son, Tim Lane and wife Tasha, daughter Kim L Gurkin and husband Michael.  Brother Linwood Pilkington and wife Theresa; granddaughter Rachel Swindells; special caregiver Carol Howell.

In addition her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Lane, her children, Dan Lane, Trish Lane, siblings Donnie Pilkington, James Pilkington, Junior Pilkington, Peggy Tetter and Ann Pilkington
