Jan King

Kimberly Jan King, age 57, passed away Saturday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County, NC, she was the daughter of Laverne B. Wiegand and the late William Allen Best. She was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, retired from the Air Force reserves and a member of Emmaus Baptist Church.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Jan is survived by her husband, Steve King; her son, Frank King & wife, Cathy; her daughter, Ashley Mullen & husband, James; step children, David Wayne King and Christine Denise Sellers; brother, William Allen Best, Jr.; sister, Sue Turner; step sisters, Renee Pope and Linda Cook; grandchildren, Nyah Elizabeth Sellers, Jordan King, Mac Sellers, Kahlan King, Shawn Matthew King and Michael King.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her step father, Frank Wiegand.
