James Ronald Soder

James Ronald Soder was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior early Sunday afternoon, November 5, 2023. He was a man of many talents who had many adventures in his lifetime. He was the youngest of four born to parents Albert and Patricia on April 10, 1963, in Erie, PA.

Jim loved the Lord with all his heart and showed that by being a part of Gideons International and Recovery Alive at Bethel Church in Goldsboro. James enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, working the land, and spending time with his horse, Spirit. James was a mentor and friend to many people and enjoyed good food and conversation.

James was preceded in death by Grandparents Robert and Francis Soder, Bill and Marion Geertson, father Albert R. Soder, brother Joseph R. Soder, stepfather Fred Miller, Uncle John Geertson, Aunts Helen Walden, and Cathy Lawrence.

James is survived by wife Alice Sladick-Soder, mother Patricia R. Miller, Sister Barbara Wigginton, brother Chester Soder, aunts Peggy Vasilik, Sis Flickinger, and Uncle Bill Geertson.
 

A celebration of James’s life will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Bethel Church, 2308 N Williams St, Goldsboro, NC 27530, at 12 pm.

It is requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his honor to Gideons International or Recovery Alive Bethel Goldsboro.
