James Otto Jones

James Otto Jones, 87, passed away on Tuesday at his residence. Born in Sampson County, he was the son of the late Ayden and Lela Futrell Jones, husband of the late Imogene Jernigan Jones and father of the late Douglas Jones. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bunny Jones, a half brother, Edward Haney and half sister, Brenda Thornton. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and former employee of the Patetown Dixie Company.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 10:00am at Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Andy Stovall officiating. The family will greet friends at the grave following the service.

Mr. Jones is survived by his son, James L. Jones and his girlfriend, Paula Cogdell; a brother and sister in law, L. Thomas and Ann Jones and a grandson, Michael S. Jones; a half sister, Shirley Holstein and husband, Larry.
