James H. McLarty, Jr.

TSGT/Ret. James H. McLarty, Jr, age 72, died Wednesday at his home.  Born in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Jim Holland and Judah Leah Dowdy McLarty.  He was a retired, 24 year veteran with the United States Air Force.  After his service in the military, he was a truck driver for over 20 years.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 12:00 noon at the Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro, NC with Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. 

Mr. McLarty is survived by his wife, Paula Klein McLarty;  his children, Jim McLarty, III (Pam), Bianca Self (Shane), James McLarty and Judah McLarty;  brother, William McLarty (Beatrice);  sisters, Cindy Sanders, Sue Ables and Betty Ann Tingle (Kelly); granddaughter, Jackie Elliott (Andrew); 8 grandchildren; one great grandchild.
