James Autry Bundy, Jr.

James Autry Bundy, Jr., age 79, died Thursday at Wayne/UNC Healthcare.  Born in Wayne Co., he was the son of the late James Autry, Sr. and Eloise Simmons Bundy.  A 1958 graduate of  the Goldsboro High School Earthquakes, he was retired from Dupont following over 31 years of service.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 27 at 3:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will visit with family and friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Bundy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lynda Jones Bundy;  his son & daughter-in-law, James Autry, III “Buddy” and Rhonda Bundy;  his daughter, Gwendolyn Brooke Bundy.

 Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Drew Jones and his special golden retriever dog, “Sadie Elizabeth”.
