Hubert Beasley Obituary

Hubert Ray Beasley, 80, of Goldsboro passed away Saturday at Wayne U.N.C. Hospital. He is the son of the late Hubert Ashley Beasley and Corlenna Collins Beasley. Mr. Beasley was a Budweiser truck driver and later owned the Watering Hole. He enjoyed trips to the beach fishing with his brother, Duck, listening to Waylon Jennings on the radio, and cooking pigs. On Friday nights he could be found singing karaoke and on Saturday nights he was playing poker.  

A service to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025 at The Word Church at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Linda Burroughs officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Beasley is survived by his children, Donna Beasley Triplett (Brad) of Goldsboro, Hubert Ray Beasley Jr. of Goldsboro, and Jeffery Dwayne Beasley of Goldsboro; Grandchildren, Jeffrey Alex Beasley (Kirsten), Jarret Adam Beasley (Courtney Carter), McKenzie Brooke Beasley Gardner (Taylor), Kenneth Ray Smith (Jessica Jeffers), Justin Lee Spivey, Sr., Courtney Hobbs, and Jordan Grider; and Great Grandchildren, Eden Scout, D.J. Taylor, Gracelynn Beasly,  Justin Lee Spivey Jr., and Gavin Ray Smith; mother of his children and special friend, Lou Ellen Beasley Smith.
