Henri Charles “Danny” Clay, age 87, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in The Hague, The Netherlands, Danny was the son of the late Max Sesink Clee and Flora Manuel Sesink Clee. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Craig Clay. Danny was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of the Goldsboro Exchange Club and was an avid collector of military antiques.
A time of visitation and celebration of Danny’s life will be held on Friday, November 22nd from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at St. Paul Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. A private inurnment in the St. Paul Methodist Church Columbarium will be at a later date.
Danny is survived by his wife, Jean Haislip Clay; his daughter and son in law, Elisabeth Clay Weaver and her husband, Matthew; step daughter, Jenee Brewer and husband, Todd; and his grandchildren, Max Weaver, Mary Hannah Weaver and Cobie Brewer.
