Hazel Marie “Susie” Davis Woodward, age 84 of Goldsboro passed away on February 26, 2024, while on vacation with her daughter in Belize. She was born in Wayne County to the late George W. Davis and Alice Womble Davis. She was also preceded in death by her brother Leroy “Bo” and sisters, Eunice, Fay and Carolyn. Mrs. Woodward was a member of Stoney Creek O. F. W. B. Church
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Long Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro with the Pastor Barry officiating. The family will greet friends at The Pointe at Stoney Creek O.F.W.B. Church beginning at 3:00 PM following the graveside service.
Mrs. Woodward is survived by her husband of 44 years, William “Woody” Woodward, Her children Debra Christian (Eddie), Renee Curell (Billy), Donna Baer, Hardy Gurley (Cathy Jo), Cathy Woodward (Chris), Sandy Brannan (Steve). Her Grandchildren, Ashley (Scott), Erica (Scott), Kelly (Matt), Jessica, Michael, Joshua, Kevin, Alison (Tyler), Benjamin (Robin), Sarah, Jody, and Holly (Caleb). Great Grandchildren, Caleb, Natalie, Ashton, Alex, Hailey, Michaela, and Hazel. Her dog, Letty, cat Piper and bird Pete.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like that memorials be directed to The Belize Mission Trip at Stoney Creek Church.
