Gloria Elaine Hurley

Gloria Elaine Hurley, age 77, passed away Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Gordon, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Margaret Martin McAdams. She was a cashier with Food Lion for over 25 years.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Berryman officiating. The family will have a visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

She is survived by daughters, Lisa Hurtado, Tonya & Robert Smith, Anitra & Donna Hurley-Holmes; brother, Sonny Jones; sisters, Naomi & Albert Smith and Sue & Mark Jackson; grandchildren, Bryan Darden, Heather Darden, Tre Hurtado, Cassie Hurtado,  Megan Cansler, Brandon Smith, Jacob Holmes and Isabella Hurley-Holmes; great grandchildren, Alex Henderson, Bryan Darden, Jr., Calleia Hurtado, Roman Hurtado, Ezra Hurtado, Aaron Smith, Jay Sauls, Hurley Letchworth and Amelia Smith; special friend, Rose Davis and her Food Lion family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Rance Hurley, Sr.; her son, Gary Rance Hurley, Jr and her brother, Buddy Jones.
