Glenn Corbett Weaver passed away suddenly Wednesday at his residence. He is the son of the late George and Norma Weaver, and was married to Sharon Weaver. Mr. Weaver enjoyed freshwater fishing for bass, playing spades, trips to the mountains, being outside in nature, taking trips just to be out, and watching sports. Glenn was a caring, laid-back, and simple soul. He gave all of himself to those around him, while struggling each day with his health. Glenn passed away following a long battle with chronic illnesses.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023 in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mark Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, Mr. Weaver is survived by a son, Brandon Weaver and wife, Sara of Wyoming, MI; stepdaughter, Michelle Stitt of Concord, NC; a brother, Randy Weaver of Goldsboro, NC; a sister, Cindy Whitley and husband, Jim of Goldsboro, NC; stepsister, Sharon Smith;7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; Mother in law, Juanita Smith; sister in law, Melba Morrozoff and Deborah Russell; lifelong friend, Jeff Glover; and friend, Rev. Mark Thomas.
