Glenda Gail (Taylor) Best

Glenda Gail Taylor Best, 72, of Mt. Olive, passed away Thursday at the Brian Center. She is the daughter of the late William Ray Taylor and Fennittee Teachey Rouse and was married to the late Jimmy Ray Best. Glenda enjoyed music and when she could going to a dance or the beach. She also loved snow globes, Bo Jangles, and porcelain chickens, ducks, and pigs.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. Committal services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A. M. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Glenda is survived by her children, Angie Jenkins and husband, Jordan of Mt. Olive and Jeffrey Best and wife, Elizabeth “Liz” of Livingston, TN; a sister Jan Lee and husband, Bobby of Pink Hill; several nieces and nephews; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren; and several adopted children.

In addition to her husband, a brother, Carlton Ray Taylor and a granddaughter, Destiny Bowden preceded her in death.
