Our beloved Georgia Ann Ferguson born on June 25, 1956, left us on September 19, 2024 to be with her Heavenly Father at the age 68. Georgia started her life in Alaska and was raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She spent the remainder of her life in Goldsboro. She loved teaching, and treated all the students as her own for Wayne County Public Schools. She cherished her family and friends more than life itself. She will be loved and missed by her daughter Danielle Strickland, son-in-law Ryan Strickland, fiancé Bennie Brock, sister Brigitte Baker, brother-in-law James Baker, grandchildren Kylie Rogers and Raymond Strickland as well as many friends and family. She will be joining her mother Charlotte Ferguson and father Daniel Ferguson. Georgia’s love for animals, teaching and her inspirational soul touched all that knew her. God has placed his hands on her and took our sweet soul home. We encourage all that knew her loving soul to join us and celebrate her life at Dudley Christian Church on October 26, 2024, at 4pm. Please no gifts or flowers but instead donations to The Kidney Foundation, Gift Processing at National Kidney Foundation HQ, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
