Frances Marie Willoughby

Frances Marie Willoughby, age 75, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.

Born in Wayne County, Frances was the daughter of the late Otha Willoughby Jr. and Girtle Huffman Willoughby.

Frances is survived by her loving family, including her brothers, Jimmy Willoughby and wife, Jean  and Kenneth Willoughby. She is also survived by her sister, Penny Willoughby Kearney, and husband, Malcolm. She leaves behind several cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Willoughby.

A service to celebrate Frances’s life will be held on Monday, November 10, at 11:00 AM at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley, with the Reverend Jim Willoughby officiating. The family will greet friends briefly following the service at the cemetery.
