Frances (Thompson) Mozingo

Helen Frances Thompson Mozingo, age 69, passed away Wednesday at her home. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Leona Thompson Capps, wife of the late Linwood Earl Mozingo and mother of the late Mark Mozingo. She was also preceded in death by her special friend, Gene White, her brother, Donnie Capps and her sister, Alice Pate. Frances attended Free Chapel PFWB Church.

A service to celebrate Frances’ life will be held Saturday at 11:00 am by the graveside at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Amanda and Ramon Amaro; her grandchildren, Vincent Amaro, Michael Amaro and Kayleigh Amaro; her brothers, Billy Capps, Richard Capps and James “Dink” Capps; her sister, Teresa Ann Summerlin and her special dog, Bubby.
