Frances Chestnutt Gurley, 81, of Goldsboro passed away Friday morning at Kenansville Health and Rehab. She is the daughter of the late C. O. “Jack” and Macy Blizzard Chestnutt and is the wife of the late Needham R. Gurley. Mrs. Gurley enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Frances played the organ at church, loved family gatherings, but most of all she was a good mom.
At Mrs. Gurley’s request, no formal services will be held. The family will meet at a later date.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Loretta Gurley Johnson and husband, Wayne of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Jonathan Gurley, Kathy King, and Tiffany King; great grandchildren, Kristopher Little, Tristan King, Zackaria Boyd, Bryce Boyd, James King, and Lacy Musser; and many nieces and nephews.
