Eva Jacqueline "Jackie" (Crumpler) VanHoy

Eva Jacqueline “Jackie” Crumpler VanHoy, age 97, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Addie Royall Crumpler and the wife of the late Eburn Leslie VanHoy. A member of First Presbyterian Church, she was a retired bookkeeper with the former W.T. Grants Department Store in Goldsboro, NC.

A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Noe` Juarez officiating. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the funeral home.

Mrs. VanHoy is survived by her daughter, Leslie VanHoy and a host of special family and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Crumpler; her sisters, Ruth Slay and Ethel Pennington.
