Eugene Thomas Beavers, 94, passed away Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his loving family. He is the son of the late Roy and Mattie Hill Beavers and was married to the late Esteen Grant Beavers. He loved to farm, go bass fishing, keep up his yard, and some good Bar-B-Q “the Good Stuff” from Smithfield Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q.
A service to celebrate Eugene’s life with military honors is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Evergreen Cemetery with Elder Mary Barnes officiating. The family will greet friends on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the residence of his son, Thomas Beavers, 835 Broadhurst Rd, Seven Springs.
Eugene is survived by his son, Thomas Beavers and wife, Tammy of Seven Springs; daughters, Terry Sasser of Goldsboro and Renee Beavers of Oriental; 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; friends, Mike Howell and Kim Brantham; and caretakers, Thelma Barnes and Mary Barnes.
