Emma Sue (Perry) Stok

Emma Sue Perry Stok, age 81, passed away Wednesday morning at her home. Born in Johnston County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William M. Perry, Sr. and Addie Tart Perry. She was the wife of the late Robert “J.H.” Stok and was a retired accounting clerk with Daniels and Daniels Construction Company. Sue enjoyed gardening as well as “travelled the world” through reading books.

No formal services will be held at this time. Her family and friends will gather at her home on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

She is survived by her son, Lee Eugene Lanier; sister, Edna Joyce Barefoot; grandchildren, Megan Paige Lanier, Leslie Susan Lanier, William Cole Lanier and Cody Lee Lanier; daughter-in-law, Paige Killette Lanier.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Perry Michael Lanier; siblings,William M. Perry, Jr,  Billy Tart, Jerusha Gray Boyette, Joe Tart, Betty Jane Burrill and Ann McCaughn.
