Elizabeth Pauline "Polly" Langley Boykin, age 93, passed away Wednesday, October 9th at her residence. Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Claudie Rudolf Langley and Elizabeth Inez Barnes Langley. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James O. Boykin, Sr. and her daughter in law, Lee Ann Boykin. Mrs. Boykin was a dedicated member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in LaGrange and also enjoyed quilting and cooking for others.
A service to celebrate Polly's life will be held Friday, October 11th at 6:00 P.M. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Ricky Garner officiating. The family will remain at the church to visit with family and friends after the service on Friday. A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 12th at 3:00 pm at Wayne Memorial Park.
Polly is survived by her children, Donna Boykin Stroud, Deborah Marks Moore and husband, Glenn, James O’Quinn “Tim” Boykin, Mark Spencer Boykin and wife, Lori; her sisters, Faye Charette and Edith Ann Boyette; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
