Eliseo Antonio Morataya, 71, of Mt. Olive passed away Monday at his residence. He was born in El Salvador to the late Jesus Morataya and Ophellia Amparo Bonilla and was married to Sandra W. Morataya. He was retired from Georgia Pacific. On October 2, 1992, he became a United States citizen.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Sharon Roberts officiating. Family members will greet following the service.
In addition to his wife of 39 years, he is survived by his children, Eliseo Morataya and wife, Janet of Goldsboro, Martin Stolins of Virginia Beach, VA, William Stolins of Surf City, Tawessa Davis and husband, Billy of Mt. Olive, Sonia Wolk of Wendell, Yazmin Morataya of California, and Claudia Morataya of El Salvador; a sister, Paulina Morataya of El Salvador; 22 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
