Eleanor Lorraine "Sister" (Smith) Anderson

On Friday, June 4, 2021, Eleanor Lorraine Anderson, loving wife, and mother, passed away at the age of 75. Eleanor was born on September 8th, 1945, in Wayne County, NC to Riley "Candy" Smith and Luellen Worrell Smith. She graduated from New Hope High School in Wayne County.

She married Farrell Anderson October 23rd, 1965 and was blessed with two sons, William "Peanut" and Michael. 

Eleanor was preceded in death by her father and mother; both of her sons; and a brother, Gerald Smith. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Farrell, her sisters Shelby Mitchell and Diane Corbett (Selby) , a brother, Durwood "Buddy" Smith and wife, Becky; and her son Michael’s wife Angie.

She enjoyed her work both as a product picker at Southco Distributing Co. and a machine operator at Americal. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time at home and rides on her golf cart. She had a heart for all of the cats that called her house home.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 in the Shumate-Faulk Memorial Chapel at 6:00 PM.
