Dorothy (James) Linton

Dorothy James Linton, age 90, passed away Friday at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Maury James and Eula Thompson James and wife of the late Alfred James Linton, Sr. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gregory M. Linton, two brothers, Malcolm James and Jennings James and a sister, Mable James Bowden.

A service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Linda Drohan, wife of the late Frank Drohan; Alfred “Freddie” Linton, Jr. and his wife, Sandra Moore Linton; and Angila Linton Sutton and  her husband, Craig Sutton; her brother, Charles Wesley James; seven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
