Donnie Earl Strickland, 62, of Dudley passed away at U.N.C. Rex Thursday. He is the son of the late William Glen and Lois Evans Strickland and was married to Ayash Strickland. Donnie was a truck driver for Case Farms. He loved working on and restoring old cars, going fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 until 5:00 P.M.

In addition to his wife, Donnie is survived by his sons, Donnie Earl Strickland Sr. and wife, Draven and Tyler Scott Strickland; a brother, William Eugene Strickland and wife, Brenda Rickman Strickland; and grandchildren, Kingsley, Destrey, Remy, Zachary, Harley, Aubrey, and Brooklyn Strickland.
