Dimistrios Tsioutsios Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Dimitrios Tsioutsios of LaGrange, NC wishes to announce his passing of the china virus at Lenior Memorial Hospital, NC.  As a native Greece, the phrase “LIFE TO US” is exchanged with each other.

He was loved and well respected by childhood friends, business associates, and family.  He was known to all as a very generous, caring man of strong principles along with being a big pet lover.  He was born and raised in Karditsa, Greece where he spent the next 30 years sailing the entire world.  He came to the United States in October 2001 to work with his cousin, Greg Sakas, and become partners in a management and consulting company, headquartered in Goldsboro, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evangelos Tsioutsios and Frangulea Fafoulas Tsioutsios of Karditsa, Greece and his brother, Christos Tsioutsious of Athens, Greece.  He is survived by his daughter, Avelyn and 2 sons, Inco and Nicci Tsioutsios who live in Hart-Garz, Austria.

He is survived by his niece, Francy Tsioutsios of Kos, Greece.

He is survived by his first cousin and business partner and best friend, Greg Sakas of Myrtle Beach, SC and Goldsboro, NC.

His is also survived by his loving cousins in Greece, Christos Fafoulas, Maria Fafoulas Efthimiadis, Katerina Liontoua, Sherifim Raftopoulo, Arthur Raftopoulou and Iona Fafoulas Koukou.  The most important person to him was his lifelong partner who he called his “My Madam”, Linda Swartz and her son, bobby Threewitts of the home.

Dimistrios' last wishes were to have his ashes taken home to Greece and that half of them scattered in the Mediterranean and the other half to be scattered in the park where we all as kids played and spent fun times.

Dimi being a pet lover, he would take 50 lb bags of food to the Kinston animal shelter.  In lieu of any flowers, he would enjoy having donations made to your local shelter.  He truly loved his pet cat, Zoie, his recently deceased dog, Lexi and his pet niece, Athena Maria.
