David Wendell Warrick

David Wendell Warrick, age 71, passed away Monday evening at UNC/Chapel Hill Hospital. Born in Wayne County, NC, he was the son of the late David Leslie and Evelyn Goodman Warrick. He was the husband of the late Anna S. Warrick. A Vietnam Veteran with the United States Army, he was a retired truck driver.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Riverside Church in Autryville, NC with Pastor Robert Cribbs officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery in Autryville, NC. The family will visit with family and friends one hour prior to the service at the church.                                     

David is survived by his children, David Leslie Warrick, II & wife, Cat, Allon Merle Warrick & wife, Mary Ann, Evelyn Elizabeth Warrick & husband, Stephen Arnott and Julie Ann Hunter; his sister, Catherine Knowles; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Elaine Hatley and Melvin Warrick.
