Obituary

David Stevenson Stocks, Sr., age 75, passed away Saturday at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Born in Lenior County, he was the son of the late Zeno Marvin and Christine Avery Stocks. He was the husband of the late Brenda Louise Jones Stocks. He was a retired machinist with Cox Trailers.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. Family and friends will visit immediately following the service at the cemetery.

David is survived by his sons, David Stevenson Stocks, Jr. (Melinda), Daniel Michael Stocks, Joseph Stocks (Laura) and Christopher Stocks; his sisters, Marjorie Carter and Barbara Taylor (Alvin); nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 21 nieces & nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, David was preceded in death by his son, Marshall Ray Stocks and his brothers, Marvin Ray Stocks and Marshall Glenwood Stocks.
