Daniel Leo "Dan" Darden

Dan Darden, 71, of Mt. Olive passed away at his residence on Saturday evening surrounded by his family. He is the son of the late McEnnis and Myrtie Brock Darden and is the husband of Betty Rose Holloman Darden. Mr. Darden was the warehouse manager for State Electric Company. Dan was a believer in the Lord, and he was a member of Mt. Olive Church of God.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In addition to his wife, Rose, Dan is survived by his children, Angela Chavez of Mt. Olive, Jennifer de Leon and husband, Joel of Dudley, Sarah Howell and husband, Robbie of Goldsboro, and Jeff Darden and wife, Leena of Mt. Olive; a brother, Phil Darden of Little Washington; and a sister, Maybelle Ezzell and husband, Dennis of Warsaw; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
