Daisy Jean (Summerlin) Farrior

Daisy Jean Summerlin Farrior, of Mount Olive, was born March 26, 1941, and passed away Friday, December 3, 2021, at home. She was 80 years of age.

Jean was a long-time employee of Guilford Mills Company from which she retired. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. Jean was a hard worker for her family, community, and friends. She enjoyed gardening and singing gospel music with her siblings. She modeled the qualities of unconditional love and forgiveness after her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A private memorial service will be held Monday, December 6, in Mount Olive, officiated by Rev. Ashley Summerlin.

Jean is survived by her three children, Forrest Farrior, and wife, Shirley, of Mount Olive, Buck Farrior, and wife, Kathryn, of Pikeville, and Albert Farrior II, of Indiana. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Brandon Farrior, Brittney Farrior, Paul Mead and wife, Jordan, Shawn Mead, Travis Lee, Jaclyn F. Woodall and husband, Waylon, Alan Farrior, and Andrew Farrior; a great-grandchild, Will Farrior; a sister, Doris S. Benites and husband, Alex; three brothers, Levy Summerlin, Adrian "Sonny" Summerlin and wife, Jan, and Jerry Summerlin and wife, Connie; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buckner F. and Lillie Mae Grady Summerlin; a brother, William Elbert "Buddy" Summerlin; and three sisters, Joan S. Bell Holmes, Julia S. Miller, and Clara Lee S. Garner.
