Craig Taylor Obituary

Craig Taylor passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Sunday.  Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Lorenza and Mattie Lee Taylor.  He was the Quality Control Manager at Acme United in Fremont for 20 years. A very caring and compassionate man, he was always giving things to others in need.  As God would have it, his only possession upon passing was the old bass boat that belonged to his brother,  Glenn, before he passed away. Even though he loved hunting and fishing, he did state in the days before his passing, his biggest regret in life was “not spending more time with his family instead of all the hunting and fishing”.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating.

Craig is survived by his three daughters, Donna Cannon, Carla Davis (Kenny), Amber Herring (Todd);  a sister, Myde Faircloth; sister-in-law, Mary Taylor; two grandchildren: one great grandchild and his ex-wife, Karen Taylor.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lionel Jack Taylor and Dewey Glenn Taylor.

His family would like to express special thanks to his caregivers, Taylor Strickland, Kym Robbins and the nurses & aids at Community Hospice for making his life so much better while he was here.  Also special thanks to friends, Juanita Wade for bringing the pies and getting him out every now and then, as well as, Dallas Waters for taking him fishing.  Your friendship to an ailing man was worth your weight in gold.
