Clarkey Smith Perkins

Clarkey Smith Perkins, age 66, passed away on Wednesday at the Crystal Coast Hospice Center in Newport. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Harris Smith and the late Catherine Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Pete Smith and her sister, Kaye Thompson. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Goldsboro.

A service to celebrate Clarkey’s life will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will greet friends on Saturday one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.

Clarkey is survived by her husband, Berky Perkins; her daughters, Jennifer & Eric Howell, and Jessy Seabrooks; her grandchildren, Taylor Howell, Walker Howell, Olivia Seabrooks and Lexi Seabrooks; and her faithful canine companion, Izzy.
