Christopher Hunter Bennett

Christopher Hunter Bennett, age 13, passed away Thursday at his home. Born in Wayne County, he was a seventh grader at Rosewood Middle School. He loved time playing Fortnite, skating, football and spending time with his brothers. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Horne.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd at 2:00 pm at Davis Family Cemetery with Rev. Sharon Roberts officiating. The family will greet friends at the grave immediately following the service.

Hunter is survived by his mother, Jennifer Horne; his father, Chris Bennett and his girlfriend, Carmen Melvin; his brothers, Nicholas Bennett and Aaron Denning; his maternal grandparents, Marie and Michael Herring;  his paternal grandparents, Carlos and Beth Bennett and Frances Heath; a step sister, Destiny Mitchell; his aunts, Jennifer Brown, Kathy Koonce and Kimberly Bennett; and uncles, Chad Smith, Cornelius Smith (Kiara Rawls) and Chad Bennett; a niece, Kenly Boyle; and his cousins, Mackenzie Smith, Tronyae Smith, Jared Smith, Caitlin Bennett, Jasmine Newsome, Ethan Bennett, Madison Laws and Alyssa Laws.
