Charlotte Gray Thornton, 76, of Goldsboro passed away on Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She is the daughter of the late Curtis and Imlay Stancil Gray, and is the wife of the late Bobby Lee Thornton. Mrs. Thornton was a retired bookkeeper. Charlotte loved to spend time with her grandchildren and her dog, Lucy. She also loved cooking, shopping, and the mountains.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Pete Radford officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thornton is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Massey (Jim) and Cyndi Thornton (Chad DeRosa) all of Goldsboro; a brother, C.H. Gray (Sara) of Wake Forest; and grandchildren, Deja Mooring, Emmie Swindell, Sierra Massey, and Aren Massey.
