Charles "Chip" Winfield Thompson

  Charles (Chip) Thompson, 75, of Goldsboro died peacefully on July 13 at UNC Health Wayne. He was born in Goldsboro to the late Dr. Winfield and Louise Thompson. Chip was an avid outdoorsman, and a member of The Lord’s Table Church of Goldsboro.

 A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 27 at 10:30 am at The Lord’s Table Church in Goldsboro, 1215 Parkway Drive with the Rev. Ken Jefferson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.

Chip is survived by his former wife, Christy Thompson; a brother, Wink Thompson; a sister, Lynda Fulford; sister-in-law, Cris Thompson; two daughters, April Melrose and Heather DeMay Thompson; son-in-law Michael Melrose; and three grandchildren, Tyler Melrose, Allen Melrose, Melissa Melrose.
