Cecilia Faye Menley, age 62, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Wayne/UNC Healthcare, surrounded by her family. Born in Wayne County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Homer Menley and Carol Anderson Menley.

Cecilia worked in Goldsboro as a floral designer for many years. Making flower arrangements for people who were celebrating or remembering was a passion of hers and very fulfilling. She was good at her job and missed it once she retired. Later in life, she worked as a sitter for the ill/elderly. She made life-long connections with the families she served and held them dear to her heart.

She is survived by her son, Bradley Craig Easton; her daughter, Melissa Bryan Pearce and husband, Roy; her brother John Allen Menley; her sister, Jeanna McKeel and husband, Jeff; her grandchildren, Trey Pearce and wife, Nicole, and Taylor Pittman and husband, Jayson. The light and joy of her life were her great-grandchildren; Ean Wade, Kayleigh Pittman, Emily Pearce, Bryson Pearce, Madalyn Helmick, Kayson Pittman, Ty Pearce, and Karter Pittman. She is also survived by her nieces and a nephew; Heather Menley, Donna Menley, Maranda McVige, Jessica Menley, Brandon Hanger, Kayla Perry, and Krystal McKeel.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Braxton Pearce.

Funeral Services to celebrate Cecilia’s life will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2025, 6:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Toler officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held following the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date.
