Carson Douglas Lane

Carson Douglas Lane, age 85, passed away on Wednesday at his residence. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Vance S. Lane and the late Esther Mozingo Lane. He was formerly employed with the University of Mount Olive in the Horticulture Department.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday at 6:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Franklin Lane officiating.  The family will greet friends on Thursday evening at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home immediately following the service. A private committal service will be held at the Lane Family Cemetery.

Mr. Lane is survived by his wife, Louise Price Lane; two sons and daughters in law, Roger and Evelyn Lane, Richard and Sonya Lane; a brother, William Lane; four grandchildren, Jamie and Jerry Faulk, Douglas Lane, Wesley and Shannon Lane, and Joshua and Zylea Lane; nine great grandchildren, Graycen Faulk, Ava Faulk, Eden Faulk, Kaylyn Lane, Cole Lane, Jax Lane, Easton Lane, Kennedy Lane and Laken Lane.
