Carolyn Anne (Mayhew) Cline

Carolyn M. Cline, 73, formerly of Goldsboro passed away on Wednesday at Warsaw Health and Rehab. She was the daughter of the late George Mayhew and Irene Doss Floyd and was married to the late George Tidds. Carolyn enjoyed scrap booking, dancing, trips to the beach, and playing pool. She also enjoyed country music, especially Conway Twitty and most recently, Jelly Roll. Carolyn lived with Parkinson’s disease over the last two decades, but it did not stop her. After an experimental surgery, she would speak publicly about her experiences with Parkinson’s and the surgery.

A service of love and remembrance will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Brogden Church of Dudley at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. David Moehring officiating.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Elizabeth “Beth” Daughtry and husband, David of Sneads Ferry and Brandon Cline and wife, Amanda of Pikeville; sisters, Victoria “Vicky” Ayers and husband, Chuck of Chesterfield, VA and Laura Daughtry of Pikeville; a brother, Vernell Mayhew and wife, Glinda of Dinwiddie, VA; nieces, Amanda, Courtney, and Amber Ayers; Elizabeth’s father, Johnny Walls; Brandon’s father, Terry Cline; grandchildren, Logan, Joshua, Tristan, Isabella, Shelby Ann Nutter, Matthew Waters, and Colton Cline; and great grandchildren, Jace and Liam Turner, and Elliana Nutter.
