Betty Ann (Smith) Hamilton

Betty Ann Smith Hamilton, age 76, passed away Saturday at UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late JD Smith and Eugenia Tyner Smith and the loyal and devoted wife of the late William Ray Hamilton. She was a loving mother to her children and family.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor John Earnest officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the graveside.

Betty is survived by her children, Pamela Rae Tripp and husband, Paul T. Tripp; Thomas Wayne Hamilton and wife, Chastity M. Hamilton; David Leroy Hamilton and wife, Suzanne K. Hamilton; William  Johnny Hamilton and wife, Cristy Hamilton; a sister, Evelyn Cenate; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
