Obituary
Betty Owen Gwaltney, age 72 died at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. Born in Wayne County to the Late Norman R. Williamson & Margaret Creech, also preceding her in death is her son Buck “JR” Hughes Jr., a brother Johnny Williamson.
A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held Thursday, May 25th at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Pastor Donnie Hines will preside. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.
She is survived by her children – Kandy Allen, Jennifer Gwaltney & Beth Gwaltney, Brothers – Randy Williamson (Iris), Billy Williamson: sisters –Norma J. Jenkins, Frances Waterman. Seven Grandchildren also survive, Danyelle Rouse, Matthew King, Caleb Rose, Dalton Rose, Chayton Garrison, Laina Garrison, Austyn Buck Ward Harrison,
