Benny Franklin Wiggs

Benny Franklin Wiggs, age 71, died early Sunday morning at Wayne/UNC Health Care.  Born in Onslow County, he was the son of the late Richard McKinley Wiggs and Myrtle Williford Wiggs. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Virginia Dare Wiggs, Alvis Wiggs, Lester Wiggs, James O. Wiggs and Patricia Ann Huber. Benny was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of the Goldsboro Golf Club, enjoyed time spent at Pinewood Bingo and his hours spent playing pool.

A graveside service with military honors to celebrate Benny’s life will be  held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. Family members will greet friends immediately following the service at the grave.

Benny is survived by his wife, Angelina Javier Wiggs; sons, Benny Wiggs, Jr. and fiancée, Donna, Bracey Wiggs and wife, Sabrina; step daughters, Elouise J. Kearney and husband, Dylan; and step daughter, Jordan T. Morrison; step son, John N.J. Morrison; sister, Mary Ann Brobst; grandchildren, Christopher and fiancée, Amanda, Brandon, Dylan, Kourtney and David; a great grandchild, Danny Nelson and numerous nieces and nephews.
