Barbara “Ann” Mickle King, age 86, passed away Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Kershaw County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Mendel Smith Mickle and Eva Brasington Mickle. Ann was the wife of the late James A. King. Prior to retirement, she was employed in the insurance sales industry. She enjoyed water exercise classes at the Family Y as well as working in her yard.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lugoff, SC.
Ann is survived by her son, Roger A. King; her daughter, Kim C. Hoff; her grandchildren, Justin A. King, Katie M. Hoff and Will M. Hoff.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark A. King.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be directed to any relief organization for Western North Carolina.
