Audrey Doris Burroughs

Audrey Doris Burroughs, age 63, died Saturday at her residence. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Berry and Smithie Hines Mitchell and wife of the late Gary Burroughs. She was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church.

A service to celebrate Doris’ life will be held Tuesday at 4:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery and the family will greet friends following the committal service in the church fellowship hall.

Doris is survived by her son, Joseph Burroughs and wife, Cori; brothers, Arthur Mitchell and B.G. Mitchell; sisters Nora Sasser and Eleanor Jordan; two grandchildren, Owen Burroughs and Everett Burroughs.
