Ann Elizabeth Grant Humphries, age 81, passed away on Monday, November 18th at Kenansville Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Lenoir County, she was the daughter of the late J.L. Grant and Christine O’Berry Grant and wife of the late James Paul “Jim” Humphries. She was also preceded in death by a son, Patrick Keyes Humphries. Ann was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Goldsboro and was a former instructor at Wayne Community College.
A private graveside service will be held at Wayne Memorial Park. A celebration of life and reception will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Goldsboro.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Tara L. Humphries and partner, Sherry Granberry; a brother, John Thomas Grant; and her rescue kitties.
