H. “Hollie”Jr., 95, of Mechanicsville, VA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin H. Carpenter, Sr. and Carrie Gibbs Carpenter, and sister, Ervel V. Dixon and brother, Michael H. Carpenter.

Hollie is survived by his wife, Eunice C. Carpenter, his two children, Alvin, III (Jeanne), Greg (Kari), grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Hollie was a retired beef cattle farmer, and Heating and Air Conditioning Service Manager. He was an avid fisherman, catching many fish in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He also enjoyed working on his farm, and keeping up with the events of the day via Fox News.

Hollie was a Veteran, serving for a time in 82nd Airborne Division, U.S. Army.

There will be a graveside service with Military Honors at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 4, at Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs, NC.
