Ada Wayne Blizzard

Wayne passed away suddenly at Willow Creek Nursing Home in Goldsboro on April 20, 2023.

 He was born in Wayne County to the late Bryant & Bertha Worrell Blizzard. Wayne was raised on the farm.  He worked several factory jobs, and finished his working career at Wayne Memorial Park.  Wayne enjoyed getting together with other Musicians and playing his Guitar.  In his younger days he also had a passion for fishing.

A service to celebrate, honor and give thanks for Wayne’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. James Herring officiating.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00PM.  Interment will follow the service at the James B. Worrell cemetery on Vinson Road.

Wayne is survived by his brother, Gerald and wife Barbara C. Blizzard, several nieces and nephews and also numerous cousins survive.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings- Mary B. Fuller, Ida Mae B. Barfield, Nancy B. Kearney, Charlie S. Blizzard & Willie “Bud” Blizzard.
