Thelma Gardner Ezzell, age 85, passed away early Sunday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Albert B. Gardner and the late Rosa Anderson Gardner Creech and wife of the late Arnold Ezzell. She was a member of Black Jack Free Will Baptist Church and was formerly employed with Cherry Hospital as a Food Service Supervisor.
A service to celebrate Thelma’s life will be held Tuesday, June 18th at 11:00 am at Black Jack Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Cliff Harwood Officiating. The family will greet friends Tuesday morning at 10:00 am at the church prior to the service. Burial will be at the Woodland Friends Cemetery.
Thelma is survived by her children, Maggie Campbell and husband, Gene, JoAnn Barbour and husband, Marty, Wanda Bova and husband, Vince, Al Ezzell and wife, Lisa; her grandchildren, Shannon Campbell Lee and husband, John, Jennifer Barbour Parrish and husband, Steven, Andra Barbour Brown and husband, Charlie, Kyle Ezzell and wife, Kasey, Ashley Ezzell; her great grandchildren, Martin and Marley Parrish, Cayden and Hallie Jo Brown, Annabeth and Kallen Lee, Molly Grace and Klint Ezzell; and a sister in law, Christine Gardner.
